How dbot keeps your reports private by default, the sharing you control, and your short-lived download links.
Your research is yours. dbot is built so that the work you do here stays private to you, and so that the files behind a report can't be passed around by accident.
Your reports belong to your account. By default no other user can see them: when you open a report, you're the only person who can pull it up, and the list in the sidebar and on your reports page only ever shows your own work.
The one exception is sharing you turn on yourself: from a finished report you can invite specific people or enable a public link, and you can revoke either at any time. See Sharing reports for how that works.
The PDF, the Excel model, and the charts live in private storage, not on a public URL. Each time you download one, dbot creates a fresh, signed link that works for a few minutes and then stops.
This means a link you copy and send to someone won't keep working, and a URL that leaks can't be reused later. If a link has expired, open the report and click the download button again for a new one.
A report has no public link unless you create one. Until then, the only way to see a report is to be signed in to the account that owns it. Even after you share, you stay in control: turn the link off or remove people whenever you want.
dbot supports passkeys, which let you sign in with your device's fingerprint, face, or screen lock. A passkey can't be phished or reused the way a password can, because there's no shared secret to steal. You can also use a password or Google. Set any of these up in your security settings, and see Signing in for the details.
